Call or WhatsApp with your dates, guest count and room preference. Marathi, Hindi and English all work.

We confirm in writing

We check availability, suggest a category, and send the exact tariff and check-in details on WhatsApp before anything else.

Arrive for darshan

Reach Shegaon, check in with your ID proof, and take darshan at your own pace. We stay reachable throughout your stay.

Keep these details ready

  • Arrival date and approximate arrival time
  • Number of adults and children
  • AC or Non-AC preference, and number of nights
  • Government photo ID for every adult guest
  • Confirm whether the rate is per room or per person
  • Get the final amount in writing before paying anything

Before you pay — a note for every devotee

Whoever you book with, confirm the room category, dates, guest count, final amount and check-in timing in writing, and keep a screenshot. Donations to the Sansthan should only ever be made through the Sansthan’s own official channels or at official counters in Shegaon — never to personal numbers, ours included.

The town

Why devotees come to Shegaon

Shegaon, in Buldhana district of Vidarbha, is where Shri Gajanan Maharaj appeared in 1878 and took samadhi in 1910. His samadhi mandir draws lakhs of devotees every year, and the town is often called the Pandharpur of Vidarbha. Most pilgrims spend a day or two here — darshan and aarti at the mandir, a visit to the vast Anand Sagar complex, and mahaprasad before the return journey.

Shegaon has its own railway station on the Mumbai–Nagpur line, with a bus service run by the Sansthan connecting the station and the mandir — reaching here is easier than for most pilgrimage towns.

Frequently asked questions

How do I book a room in Shegaon?
Call or WhatsApp us with your travel date, number of guests and AC preference. We check availability for a suitable room category, confirm the exact tariff in writing, and only then is any payment made. The official Sansthan also runs its own Bhakta Niwas booking through its own official channels and counters in Shegaon.
What is the room price in Shegaon?
Assisted stays we arrange range from approximately ₹1,450 per night for a Non-AC 2 Bed room to ₹4,550 for a Super Deluxe room. Rates vary with season and availability, so treat these as planning guidance — the final amount is always confirmed before payment. Rooms in the Sansthan's own Bhakta Niwas complexes are booked directly through the Sansthan and are priced separately.
Is this the official Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan website?
No. This is an independent information and booking-assistance service for pilgrims. For official Bhakta Niwas bookings and all donations, use the Sansthan's own official channels and counters in Shegaon.
What details should I keep ready before calling?
Your arrival date and approximate time, number of adults and children, AC or Non-AC preference, and how many nights you plan to stay. Every adult guest should carry a government photo ID for check-in.
Is Shegaon suitable for senior citizens and families?
Yes. Shegaon is a compact, well-organised temple town. We regularly arrange ground-floor and AC rooms for elders, and the mandir area, Anand Sagar and the railway station are all short rides apart.
